Astrology has been used since ancient times to help understand life, and the cycles and rhythms that are contained within it. As the planets journey around the zodiac, they relay to Earth, and all its inhabitants, powerful cosmic energies that help shape the evolution of both the individual and humanity as a whole; of both microcosm and macrocosm.
The division between heaven and earth is ultimately a false one. The same substance that was fashioned into stars by an unseen hand also came to create this earth and all who reside here. Thus, every event in the heavens is reflected here on earth. As above, so below.
Astrology can be a powerful tool in understanding where one is in the great cycle of life; where one has come from and where one is going. To truly know oneself at all levels of one’s being is perhaps the greatest knowledge one can have. The edict issued by every great sage throughout history has been “Know thyself” and part of that knowledge must include where the individual fits in to the greater whole. We are not isolated individuals but part of a human family.
Astrology does not presuppose that one is bound to one’s fate. On the contrary, in gaining an understanding of the forces that influence one’s life, astrology provides a greater opportunity to exercise free will and begin to be a co-creator in shaping one’s destiny. As self-awareness grows, one is slowly emancipated from a life dictated by planetary influences and, instead, one can become attuned and work more creatively with the higher and more subtler energies streaming to Earth from the cosmos.

The phoenix symbolises the immortal soul, which, although it cannot die, needs periodic renewal in the fires of purification. It consciously chooses to die to all experience so that, as the new dawn comes, it may be born again, empty and rejuvenated.
We can also take the phoenix to represent truth that is beyond time. In each age, that truth must take a form that the people of that time will resonate with. Therefore, the immortal phoenix of truth must enter the fire and emerge anew in a form that is appropriate for the times.
Phoenix astrology is thus an attempt to reveal the timeless wisdom of astrology in a form that is needed for these modern times of rapid change. We have left behind the age of Pisces and are entering the age of Aquarius. Transitional periods are always unsettling, with some seeking to hang on to the old ways for as long as possible, while others eager to move ahead at rapid speed. It is a time when all aspects of society; government, economy, science and technology, war and international relations, environment and health, are all undergoing radical change. They are entering the purifying fires, destroying their old form to emerge with the new form needed to take us into the Aquarian age.
This process of destruction and resurrection that is taking place on a global level is being mirrored in the microcosm of individual lives. We are being asked to throw everything into the fire so that we, too, may be reborn with a new form and a new mind. In the astrology and healing work that I do, I try to help people go with this process rather than resist it. Such major changes can be scary but the more you can reside at the level of your soul, then, like the phoenix, you can consciously and voluntarily enter the fire, knowing that destruction of the old is necessary as it enables a rebirth of a more subtle and evolved vehicle through which the soul can operate.
While I use astrology to help people in all areas of life, I have a particular focus on the following areas:
- Life Purpose, career and vocation
- Relationships – this includes romantic, business and family
- Health

I have always been interested in understanding humanity; the drives, fears and aspirations common to us all, and have found astrology a very powerful tool in aiding this understanding. I have been studying astrology since 1996 but only began to see clients professionally in 2004. I have sought to study the many different approaches to astrology through reading countless books, both new and old, by talking to other astrologers to understand their perspective and by attending various seminars. In the last few years I have also sought to connect to the planets and the constellations in a meditative state and this has brought new insights as to the nature of their energy.
My other main interest is in healing and I have completed both a Naturopathic course at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and a four-year diploma course at the School of Shamanic Homoeopathy where I was trained in spiritual and shamanic healing techniques.
As well as practising as an astrologer I also teach courses in introductory, medical and relationship astrology and lead an astrological meditation group all within the London area. I also facilitate workshops on self-awareness and inner transformation both in the French Pyrenees and in London.
